Apple launched the iPhone 12 Mini smartphone along with other iPhone 12 models last year, making it the first lineup to have a ‘Mini’ model. And it seems that it won’t be the last, despite lackluster sales.
According to the latest information coming from Jon Prosser, Apple is planning to launch the iPhone 13 Mini later this year as a part of the iPhone 13 lineup. However, the naming of the lineup could be different, with some reports hinting at iPhone 12S.
Recently, it was reported that Apple is halting the production of the iPhone 12 Mini as the company has met the requirements for the whole year. This likely means that the sales of the device are not meeting the company’s projections.
The company is likely to keep selling the iPhone 12 Mini and given its commitment to the smaller form-factor, there will be a successor. However, there’s a possibility that Apple may not launch a successor of the iPhone SE this year as it competes in the same price segment as the iPhone Mini.
But some reports claim that this doesn’t mean that the iPhone SE lineup is coming to an end, at least not this year. Apple is expected to launch an updated iPhone SE smartphone this year, named iPhone SE Plus.
Apple iPhone Mini has accounted for only 5 percent of the total iPhone 12 series sales. Despite such poor sales, the company seems to be committed to this Mini model. It remains to be seen if we will see some drastic changes in the Mini models going forward. Get amazing deals on Apple iPhone 12 on this Black Friday Online Sale.
