Mr. Dawson told Newsweek, “When I take pictures, I want to make a feeling ‘I hope I am there’.
The picture shows Mr. Dawson and his friend Anna Von Boettherch under three crowded ice legs in Tasilaq Bay, in Greenland. The duo swimmed between nearly 20 widespread whales to catch victory shots, reported Newsweek.

Others commented, “Appreciation and more than worth mentioning. Congratulations !!”
According to Newsweek, Tasilaq Bay is locally known as Flenseplassen which generally means ‘skinned land’. The local inuit hunter gathered the body of the whale and took it off to the bones. They pulled the remaining material back to the sea during high tide.
“Usually, seeing whale bones like this you will need a submarine,” Dawson said further. But in Greenland, they are almost untouched and only 15 to 20 feet below the surface.
He spent almost an hour swimming under the ice to get an injection, replacing the respiratory device when his breathing was condensed in their valves. After completing the dive, he said. Newsweek, “Cold doesn’t give me fear.”
