“This is a brave individual. We want to make sure we recognize and appreciate the role they play over the past few years,” said White House spokesman Jen PSAKi told briefing.
An anonymous official, told the Reuters news agency that the initial evacuation would cover around 2,500 people who tended to take place in military facilities, both in the US or third country, while their visa application was processed.

Explanation: Who is the Taliban?
The threat of retaliation has increased when the Taliban progress quickly throughout the country, seizes a series of border posts from Afghan forces, including crossings with Iran, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
Taliban militants were reported on Wednesday to raise their flags on the key round of the boulders crossing near Kandahar.
Many were afraid of Afghan security forces to collapse fully under the attack, with former US President George W Bush – who was behind the decision to send US forces to the country in 2001 – a warning that the consequences of US withdrawal were most likely “very bad”.
In an interview with the German announcer Deutsche Welle this week, Bush said he believed in Afghans was “lagging behind to be slaughtered”.
The Taliban, who controlled Afghanistan from the mid-90s to the US invasion, has been accused of carrying out various human rights and cultural violations.
They support Islamic punishment – such as public execution of killers who are punished – as well as dissolution of televisions, music and cinemas, and do not approve girls more than 10 schools.
