Queen Elizabeth’s government continued for more than seven decades. And after his death on Thursday, many users on social media chose to remember their humor. Journalists and other Twitter users have shared the clip of the former Ratu Kingdom Protection officer, Richard Griffin, told a very funny story about the king to respect his jubilee platinum in June. This video is credited to Sky News. For many users, that is their “favorite story”.

In the video, Mr. Griffin was heard saying that he accompanied Queen Elizabeth during a picnic in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, near Balmoral Castle when they met tourists, who were on vacation in the area.

“The queen will always stop and greet … clearly from when we first stop they did not recognize (he),” he told Sky News.

The tourists told the queen where they came from and where they headed. And they finally asked where he lived.

“He said, ‘Well, I live in London, but I have a vacation house only the other side of the hill’,” recalls Griffin.

“A tourist then asks the queen how often he comes here, and he answered, ‘Since I was a child, so more than 80 years’,” he further heard in the clip now becoming viral.

The conversation became more interesting when tourists asked him, “Well, if you have come for 80 years, you must have met the Queen?” said Mr. Griffin.

“Well, I haven’t, but Dickie here meets him regularly,” he answered quickly, referring to Mr. Griffin with his nickname.

“Tourists who are amazed then turn towards me,” added Griffin and asked, “What is he like?”

“I told them that he could really dislike, but he had a beautiful sense of humor,” added Griffin.

The tourists are still not aware of the fact that they are in front of royalties, said the former royal protection officer. One of them threw his arms at Mr. Griffin and put his camera into the Queen’s hand, asking if he would take a photo of the two of them. The queen is obliged, he added.

The tourists take photos with him too and continue their journey.

At the end of the video, Mr. Griffin told The Sky News Reporter that the Queen told him, “I want to be a flies on the wall when he shows the photos to friends in America. Hopefully, someone tells him who I am.”
