Netflix’s arcade game was getting always more powerful, and this brand new job, from Cannon Busters founder LeSean Thomas and renown studio MAPPA (Strike Titan, Jujutsu Kaisen) using a soundtrack out of Flying Lotus, will up the ante. LaKeith Stanfield is really on to voice the eponymous and Yasuke, the first African samurai–an actual man! –that have to protect a young woman from dark powers and violent warlords in feudal Japan.

At a war-torn feudal Japan stuffed with mechs and magical, the best ronin never understood, Yasuke, struggles to keep a tranquil existence following a last life of violence. However, every time a nearby village becomes the middle of societal upheaval between warring daimyo, Yasuke has to take his sword up and also transport a mysterious child who’s the goal of black forces and bloodthirsty warlords.
