The amazing picture of the giant jellyfish gets an attraction on social media. Shared by a user named Alesig in Reddit two days ago, the picture of the jellyfish was displayed next to the woman’s feet for a comparison of size.
Dead jellyfish can be seen lying on the sand on the beach in South Korea. His appearance was depicted by Newsweek as “A Brain With Jell-O Tentacles” and has a dark pink brown color.
When sharing posts, the user wrote, “Why I also don’t swim in South Korea (mother’s feet for scale).”
The photo was taken back in 2008 on the beach in Incheon with the user said he had not seen anything as big or afterwards. “The width is around 1-1.5m [3.2-4.9ft]. It is difficult to say. It is lifeless and slightly pinched,” Alesig told Newsweek. “I’ve never seen something like that since then.”
Since it was distributed, the post has collected more than 62,000 upvote and many comments about Reddit.
“This is the second time I see a picture of a woman’s foot on a giant jellyfish,” wrote a user.
Other users say that the creature may be nomura jellyfish.
Gill Mapstone, a jellyfish and scientific partner at the London Nature History Museum, told the outlet that, “Giant nomurai nomurai is a jelly rhizome, and therefore does not have marginal tentacles around the bell. South Korea, indeed makes it look the most likely species. “
Jellyfish Nomura is almost as big as the largest in the world, Mane Lion’s jellyfish, reports newsweek.
This colossal creature is often found in the East China Sea and the Yellow Sea. Their long tentacles carry poisons, which can cause itching, swelling, extreme discomfort, and even death under certain circumstances.
